Please note:
Since publishing this post K-Mart have changed stockists and some of these items are no longer available in their stores. Sorry for the inconvenience but hope the ideas will still inspire you. Thanks, Chrissy
Hello everyone, I’m back!! Been away on Holidays but back home now crafting again in my craft room. Here is another craft idea using only suppliers from Kmart. So it’s cheap and easy to organise – just one store to get all your supplies. Another great idea to do in a group!
This is what you will need for this project
The first step is to choose one of the designer pages from the ‘Designer Paper Pad’ and cut this up into smaller pieces. Your can use image below photo as a guide but you can make up your own size shapes if you wish, Measure and draw lines on the back of the page and cut them out.
Grab a ‘small’ paper doily, a piece of your designer paper and choose one of the ‘Vintage Die Cut shapes”. Position them how you like on a card.
With a glue stick, stick down the paper doily in position, and attach the background designer paper with double sided tape. Attach the vintage die cut shape with double sided mounting tape (the wider, thicker tape).
Your card is now complete – it can be that easy. You can make it a little more complicated by adding text with stamps or stickers or even handwrite the message yourself if you like. I have done some machine stitching on mine as well to add a bit a character.
Make a whole lot and store away and you will always have a card ready when you need one. Here are some of my designs for you to copy to inspire your own creativity.
love it wish i was able to get the diecut shapes and paper pad you used from kmart – they donot seem to have it now

That’s a shame! I haven’t been to the craft section at K-Mart in a while. It’s such a pain when stores change their stock. Might have a look at my local and see if they still have them. Or will see if I can come up with another simple card making idea!
